When I got to the website, I loved the videos showing the product - a little "homegrown" in nature. I had a hard time choosing my color, there were so many great colors. I got the red one because I also have a red calendar notebook this year. I have to say the fabric has a really nice, quality feel to it. I have not had it long enough to rate for durability, but as promised - all my stuff fits and it is half the thickness (and half the weight) of my last wallet. I love it!

Taxicat Walletstar rating 5KarenJanuary 13, 2012I can't stand bulky wallets, so I've often used simple and small men's wallets since most women's wallets are always so big and thick and bulky. So I was way excited to find this! It's SUPER thin - for reals - and it's cute, I like the color options. I keep it in my purse, but it's small enough that when I don't take my purse and just need my wallet I can stick it in either my front or back pocket of my jeans. Sweet. I also ordered a l shaped hybrid wallet for my husband and he loves it as well. Both of our are way thinner with all of our stuff in them than our old wallets when empty. We're excited! Thanks to big skinny for such great products, keep it up! Oh, and like some said it did have a bit of a smell, but it aired out in just a few days. Worth it!!

I just recently lost my previous Taxicat after about 2 years of ownership and I never once had any issues short of the zipper pull breaking off. Everything I put in the wallet felt secure at all times and there was absolutely no degradation in materials used in the construction. Since losing my wallet only about a week ago I've come to actually MISS my Taxicat. It really became a part of my everyday life.

The only thing I would change is the snap closure it is not as secure as I would like. But, I would buy another Big skinny wallet. Over all it is a very good product.

Compared to conventional wallets, my taxicat rocks! I love how light it feels, and the streamlined look. I highly recommend it!

When he looked at the wallet, he wasn't interested in using it because he thought it was too small and it wouldn't hold everything compared to his trifold wallet. I encouraged him to take out all his stuff from his old wallet and transfer it all to the new wallet. He was pleasantly surprised that everything fit! He is enjoying his thinner and smaller wallet!

I took before and after pics, and If I can find a way to upload them to this site, I'll do it. Thanks Big Skinny. BTW, once in my bag, I couldn't find my BigSkinny wallet, as it was so small, it hid in the corner of the bag!
Taxicat Walletstar rating 3Amanda GordonNovember 27, 2011This is a good wallet, but it does have a couple of rather annoying flaws. First, the magnetic "snap" is useless. Doesn't stay shut even slightly. What is really needed is a proper snap. Second, the interior front pockets are way too narrow. You can get maybe 2 cards in each one, although 1 is more likely. If you have more, they must go in the behind pockets, and even then you'd better not have too many. Big Skinny notes: Amanda give us a call, perhaps you got a defective one because you can fit 3-5 cards easily in each slot. A few Big Skinny employees use them here in the office and one of them has about 28 cards in her taxicat and the magnetic snap still holds everything in easily. Also, we've never had issues with the magnetic snap (we used to have a regular snap) which we've been using for the past 2 years on this model.

It allows me to keep my license, some cash and a credit card or two and not feel like I have a saddle bag for a pocket. Color choices are awesome, too!

Maybe you could color it to match rather than using the high contrast black/white. Or maybe even put it on the inside. I think it takes away from the looks of the wallet.

While this is great for credit cards, transit cards, and cash, I have trouble fitting some checks and receipts into the wallet comfortably. Big Skinny notes, regular personal 2 3/4 inch by 6 inch checks fit neatly and easily. However, if you have odd-sized checks and/or large receipts, they probably need to be folded so our trixie, executive or monte cougar models would work better.

I was disappointed that the zipper area where the coins go has torn open after less than a year. If I may recommend a design change, that side seam area needs to be reinforced. My coins drop out now and I cannot use the coin area any more. But it does hold a lot of cards, money and receipts in a very small wallet, and the color selection is also very good. Big Skinny notes: Leslie, contact us asap at 617.600.7610 because: 1) your wallet is warrantied but also 2) sometimes the gusseted coin pocket inverts outward rather than inward from frequent use and often people think it is torn or defective but it is just inverted outward rather than inward. All one does is invert it back inward so the coins are held. There is a fold already in the gusset so just follow the fold inward and your change pocket will be just fine. Call us we can describe and walk you through it.

I live in Belgium and my wallet arrived super fast (only 7 days after I placed the order). And what surprised me is that I didn't have to pay for customs (since the package is even smaller than the one you would have when you order a DVD on amazon for example). Concerning the wallet, it's as described : super slim. I was afraid the snap would become loose after a while, but that's not the case. Buy it ;)
