I seldom had to get my ID out so it wasn't a problem. I just fugured i got a wallet that was the exception not the rule. I just received my new nylon wallet and am having some issues with the slickness of the material. Will use the wallet for a few months and see if i get used to it. I absolutely love the design and may end up buying another Leather Hybrid. Thought you should know about the ripping issue. Big Skinny notes: we did have about 22 of them that were defective because a row of stitches didn't overlap properly with the material underneath which caused the ID pocket to loosen off on one side. Although having to take my ID in and out of it so much, it soon ripped along the right side of the ID window and slowly got worse. Good idea that it is secure but too much so for removing easily. I have ordered and am now trying the nylon one hoping that it will be stronger and last longer. Hope it works!!! Leather Hybrid Worldstar rating 3BBrooklline30January 6, 2011The Big Skinny took a long time to arrive and I only live in Brookline and the comp;any is headquartered in Cambridge.Also I have other things besides credit cards and money that I need to pack in my wallet such as deposit slips for 4 different bank accounts. Now the wallet barely closes. Generally this wallet is better than what I had before but I am not completely satisfied with the sales pitch. Big Skinny notes: Holiday season shipping is always inconsistent as we ship the day you order and then it is in the hands of the usps for the rest of the way--we even had a crosstown order to Cambridge take 12 days to arrive due to holiday postage issues so always order early around the holidays! As for the wallet, it sounds like that with the amount of stuff you regularly put in your wallet, you need a more robust Big Skinny model such as the Super Skinny or the Hipster wallets, both of those can hold much more than the world wallet.

Big Skinny Notes: there is a 30 day return policy and 1 year warranty. But also we use only top grain leather, not the cheap genuine leather, and our nylon microfiber is 230 denier weave which means it is tear-proof. Better than any other nylon out there and we add a rubberized backing to better protect your goods from gravity.

The leather on the wallets there felt much smoother and softer then the hybrid leather one that I ordered online. I put about 24 cards in it and I'll admit it's thiner then my older leather wallet it's not that much thiner. The so called reciept separater in the money holder part is a joke. I was expecting 2 separate compartments not just a small plastic tab that doesn't even work. (Big Skinny note: we use either top grain and full grain leathers depending on the wallet model so the texture is different between the 2. Our leather hybrid wallets are usually 30-40% thinner than regular leather wallets while our full nylon wallet models will make your wallet about 100% thinner than a comparable leather wallet--it's simple physics as our material is 5-7 times thinner than that of regular leather wallets and thinner wallets are a matter of millimeters. As for currency dividers, this wallet model only comes with a thin clear plastic receipt separator right now just as in the pictures).

I've got the full nylon version of this wallet model but bought my dad the leather wallet version for xmas and I've never seen him ever excited about a product except this one. constantly taking it out and showing it to people. Asking everyone, wanna see my big skinny? it's embarrassing sometimes but hilarious. Keep up the good work Big Skinny wallets!

I don't do the world currency thing, but I wanted leather, and the credit card layout this wallet has. It's the best! I'm so glad I asked someone why their wallet was so thin.
