Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5SeanFebruary 7, 2012I've had a fat wallet for years. Wish I'd had this instead. The only thing that's not perfect about this is that it can be a little tricky to get to cards that aren't on the top of each stack, but it's a small price to pay for being able to sit comfortably with my wallet in my pocket.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 4JeffFebruary 6, 2012Blaming myself, but hear me out. I carry too many cards so when I saw this on line (without watching any videos), I jumped at it. I am a front pocket wallet carrier and I have had everything from the finest TUMI leather to an Alumawallet. This does exactly waht it says it does. It keeps the skinny profile and keeps the cards in place. My problem was, and again I blame myself, I did not realize how large the wallet was. I was a little disappointed. i could keep it in my fromt pocket, but it was not always comfortable. I have to repeat though, it does exactly what it advertises. It kept all of my cards in the low profile. I tried to make an exchange but it took days for customer service to get back to me. that having been said, they did get back to me, but I had already purchased the hybrid compact to replace the big skinny. i will be returning the big one only because it is too big, not because it didn't do what advertised, so....... Pro's - thin, holds everything in place well, window for id Con's - Bigger than I realized from the site (my fault), slow customer service response. Big Skinny notes: yes, we have it larger to accommodate the side by side card placement that cuts the plastic stack in half but the flexible joint makes it very comfortable as it allows the wallet to flex with your body whether it is in your front or back pocket.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5AlJanuary 26, 2012Accessibility of items and thinness add up to a dynamite product! Way to Go!
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5Alexandra MillsDecember 15, 2011My husband saw this at a craft show and insisted that I get it for him as a Christmas gift. He hasn't received it yet, but since he knows it's coming, he's made many comments about his new wallet. I'm sure he'll love it.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 3MikeNovember 27, 2011Pros: thin, holds a lot, seems well made Cons: slick material, falls out of pocket easily, cards fall out when you open it, a little large for some back pockets I really like a thin wallet and that's what this is. I started carrying more in it to tighten up the card pockets ( I normally only carry about 6 cards). I with it were made of cloth because it is so slick. The leather still seems like plastic three months later. I have nearly lost my wallet three times since I got this one. I haven't lost a wallet in 35 years! Big Skinny notes: this model is definitely designed for those with significantly more than 6 cards as we try to express through our product description. With only 6 cards, we recommend the sport series in either nylon or leather. Less than 20 cards, we recommend any of our other models but if you have 20+ cards, then this model or the hipster will give you the best results.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5MikeSeptember 15, 2011I enjoy a thin wallet, thus was excited when I came across this product. When it arrived it seemed like it was plastic, stiff, and seemed less than I expected, but each day it softens and I like it better. At this point (couple weeks) i love it and wouldn't go back. Seems well made and what is advertised. Thanks for the great product!
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5RatishApril 29, 2011Best wallet I've owned: * Leather: Love the leather. It is soft and feels really good on the hands. I've also tried one of the nylon micro-fiber versions. I prefer the leather. The micro-fiber versions felt a little slippery. Also the logo on the micro-fiber is stitched on rubber. I found it thicker than necessary. * In the past, I've always had a wallet with a coin pocket. I took the plunge and realized that I hardly use coins anymore. * One side of the wallet (near the ID pocket) is stitched through. This means that on the logo side of the wallet, it is clear, but on the back side there is a lengthwise stitch midway. Don't mind this. I place the wallet so that when it curves, the logo side is on the outside. Design improvement: Because the natural curve for the wallet is to have the logo side on the outside, I tend to use my index finger on the embossed logo, not the thumb (for either front or back pocket). When doing this, the opening slit is on the bottom side. It would be preferable to have the opening slit on the opposite side.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5Bob H.March 7, 2011It's nice to be able to drive without having to stick my wallet in a coat pocket. Great buy!
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5AjayFebruary 24, 2011Much thinner than most wallets(primary reason for buying it). Initially thought that cards would fall out, but they did not (have atleast 2 cards per pocket). I ordered one for my father too.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5JohnFebruary 23, 2011Great wallet, well constructed. I will definitely order another when this wears out.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5RiccardoFebruary 18, 2011No More Fat Bulky Wallets For Me. After checking out yours, had to have one for my own. What a decision.Thanx...
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 4StevenFebruary 13, 2011I have been very satisfied with the product and hope it continues to hold up with wear and tear.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5Phil HutchinsJanuary 31, 2011I am 100% satisfied with my new wallet and this is huge coming from me because I simply do not normally rate products online. This one, however, deserves the kudos. I cannot go back to any other wallet after owning this one. Thank you for a great value!
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5MarkJanuary 27, 2011Great! Love it.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5DonutJanuary 18, 2011What can I say but WOW! I bought this wallet while visiting Jacksonville FL from a street vendor. He had several of the different wallets with 20 cards already in them to show just how skinny they were. I had been looking for a money clip. I was going to stop carrying all my stuff and just carry money and plastic. This wallet is down right amazing!! I've had it a few weeks now and I still whip it out and show it to everyone. Pros: OMG skinny. It bends in the middle so you just don't notice it in your pocket. You will check all the time to make sure it's still in there. The section for money is extra large and receipts and cash etc all fit well. Cons: Cards in top pocket can get loose. They don't fall out, but they might slide 1/2 inch when you sling it open. I am totally in love with this wallet! The nylon is fine, but it looked a little boyish. I'm here now to buy another for my father-in-law.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5JohnDecember 13, 2010I like I can in a front pocket.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5LukeAugust 10, 2010I bought one of these wallets (leather hybrid) a few weeks ago after reading a review on someones blog. It arrived quickly and I (and everyone else in the office) was blown away with how thin it is. Overall I am very happy.. I no longer take my wallet out of my pocket when I get to the office because you can barely notice its there. Everything fits in easily and because the cards dont overlap each other, they dont get bent and cracked like in a conventional wallet. The build quality seems great also. A few minor issues though. 1. It can be hard to get cards back into the slots because the opening goes up to the bottom of the next card slot, so sometimes you really have to fiddle around to get cards back in. 2. It can stick slightly out the top of some jeans pockets due to its size, but only a little bit. 3. It has a weird crease that became apparent after a few days use.. I think its the internal material flexing the way it does, but it means the back of the wallet is not smooth. Overall though, this is a fantastic product and I will show it to anyone who will listen. I can not go back to a regular wallet after using this. Big Skinny notes: The wallet is designed with joints to flex, so there will be some creasing eventually but that helps move each of the four sections around so it bends with your body. Also, the bending helps one position each 1/4 section so the cards can come out more easily. Let the flexibility work for you! Also, sometimes one can fit the wallet in sideways into pockets instead of the full-length way--which for shorter pockets like athletic shorts, can be useful.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 4George kerseyJune 18, 2010It is a little bigger but a lot thinner than most wallets. I found if you put it in your pocket upside down (opening face down) no cards will fall out. It definitely does not look expensive and I don't like how there is stitching going down the middle of the wallet on the outside. It has this stitching only on one side. It is thinner than anything I have ever seen though. I don't have to take my wallet out of my pocket when I drive anymore. Would give five stars if the cards didn't fall out when it was in my pocket the traditional way, and it looked more classy. Big Skinny Notes: the Super Skinny has to be bigger in order to accommodate the splitting of the plastic cards into two "decks". The stitch in the middle allows the joint to work so it bends along with your body making it very comfortable despite it's size. Not sure why the cards are sliding out, that's never been a problem with this model. And the leather we use is top-grain not the cheap genuine leather so over time, our leather gets better and better looking.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5Gehrig I. (Amazon Customer)February 19, 2010I figured out how to minimize the cards that I need to carry with me to 3 cards, plus a drivers license. This wallet has 4 slots for my 4 cards and because the orientation is 2 cards on each side of the "fold" without any overlap the thickness is minimized. The leather outside of the wallet gives the wallet stability, whereas the 100% nylon version is very "flimsy" and "floppy". Also the 100% nylon version has the card openings at the top of the wallet, which means that the cards can potentially slide out even when closed. This leather version has its card slots oriented towards the inside spine of the wallet so when the wallet is closed the cards cant slip out. Since the wallet is larger then normal, the money compartment is much deeper then normal. I have found that this deeper money compartment can easily hold ATM receipts without folding or even receipts if they are not longer then the length of a regular bill. If the receipt is long, normally one fold and the receipt easily fits in the money compartment. With a smaller wallet multiple folds were needed which meant extra bulk. The only comment I've gotten is "wow" thats a rather large wallet, but when I show them the wallet and how its designed, they always ask me, "where did I get it"..... If you dont mind a slightly large wallet, and can work with 4 cards then this is a great wallet for you. By the way, if you have more then 4 cards you can always put 2 (or even 3) in each slot, since the slots have extra room to fit more cards, however, for me that defeats the purpose for me to get my wallet as thin as possible.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 4Dennis S.January 28, 2010Overall, a very good wallet. It is a lot thinner that my old bi-fold. The credit cards are more spread out, less cards per slot. If you have many cards (3+ per slot), it can be somewhat difficult to get the right card out. Also, I think the money slot needs to have a divider in it, I made one for my wallet out of thicker clear plastic. I am pleased and would buy again.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5Dan BrookstoneJanuary 7, 2010had the nylon super skinny wallet and decided that I would switch to the new full-grain leather version and am glad I waited. the full grain leather is top notch and looks like it will last forever especially since they back it with their rubbery coating just like their nylon version. Top quality feel, especially for this price. Still use my nylon for weekends on the boat but the leather version rocks for work reasons-matches all my briefcases. And even their leather version is thinner than a regular leather off-the shelf wallet from Macy's. Usually keep about 24 cards, some business cards, and my nylon version will fit a passport. Love this wallet and I've owned wallets for 40 years--this model has been my favorite.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5John SmithJanuary 7, 2010Pros: The wallet, full with about 16 cards, is thinner than my old bifold wallet was empty. The credit cards stay in securely. This is the first wallet that I can use in my back pocket and sit down with. As far as size goes, its surface area closed is about the size of a passport, though a passport won't fit in it. Cons: The leather is really cheap -- I'd really have thought it was vinyl. This isn't a big deal, particularly for the black one I have. Another thing is that it's tricky to take out anything other than the top credit card in each panel. If you use more than 4 cards regularly, this may not be your best bet. There's also only a flimsy little plastic divider about the size of a key as a bill separator. Despite the fact that it's not nice leather, form trumps function, and I'm delighted with this wallet.
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5Henry R. CarrJanuary 6, 2010I agree with the other review, this was the best gift wallet I ever received. I'm back today to buy 3 more for my brothers and father. I've filled mine with about 31 plastic cards and 10 business cards (that total fluctuates) and it is about 1/3 the size of my old leather whopper of a wallet. I wish I knew about this wallet about 5 years ago when my back first started aching. My back has felt great for the past 2 weeks since Christmas, no pressure and I love how this wallet just moves and bends to my Texas sized butt! Best wallet in West Texas right now!
Leather Hybrid Super Skinnystar rating 5chip morasDecember 27, 2009the thin leather wallet is the best christmas present that ive recieved this year.it feels and looks great in my back pocket!!!!!
