Leather Hybrid Bi-Fold Walletstar rating 4Peter BJanuary 27, 2012It was a huge leap of faith going from my trusty trifold to this bifold, but I am happy I did. Made the transfer of cards and all the other stuff I carry around, and this wallet is easily 1/3rd the thickness of my old wallet... it's so comfortable in my pocket. The only problem I am having (why 4 vs 5 stars) is getting credit cards out of the pockets. The description states put up to 4 cards in each pocket, I put in 3 and am having a heck of a time getting them out. Pretty much impossible to take just 1 card out, I end up yanking and pulling all 3 to get to the one I need. The front most pocket is the easiest, the second and third very difficult. I am hoping that the pockets relax a little over time..in the mean time I've developed a routine of pulling out cards in anticipation of using them to avoid struggling at the last minute in front of the register or "T" stop. Second impression was that the stitching appeared solid. I have the exact contents in my new Big Skinny wallet as in my old tri-fold and it was such a difference that my wife asked me if I had discarded most of the old contents. :-)

I know I sound like a commercial, but I don't know what else to say. I have 14 credit card size cards, business cards, etc. and somehow this wallet holds them all in a much smaller footprint than my old wallet. I had to keep checking my pocket to make sure it was there. I can't recommend it enough.

It holds everything contained in the much thicker wallet it replaced. I am very happy with the purchase. If It lasts over a year while still looking good than it will be perfect.
Leather Hybrid Bi-Fold Walletstar rating 5P. SmithDecember 21, 2011Bought the leather hybrid bifold for myself and red leather taxicat for my wife. Her's is Christmas gift, so haven't evaluated yet. She wanted one of those aluminum wallets so she could carry in a pocket, but she carries 20 cards plus cash and change. The aluminum wallets have a cheap plastic clasp and only hold about 8 cards and a couple bills before the clasp starts to be stressed. I'm confident she'll like her taxicat. I've only had the bi-fold one day (they came in the mail, but I didn't realize at first because the package was so small...was expecting a box). With about 15 cards and 10 bills, the Big Skinny is just a smidge thicker than my old empty leather front pocket wallet with external spring loaded money clip. The money clip was worn out and would no longer hold bills safely unless it was a thick stack. Made me nervous. While I can't speak to the longevity, I very much like the look and feel of the Big Skinny, and even with multiple cards per pocket (although I haven't maxed it out) I fiind it easy even with thick fingers to grab the card I need. Did the shake test, shaking the wallet a fair bit harder than in the video demo's on this site, and nothing came out. Nothing moved. So as long as it doesn't fall apart in the next couple years I'll look at it as a great purchase.

I went with this because the leather looks more professional and because of the 4 card pockets. I've been using for about 3 weeks now and I'm very satisfied with it so far. It is thicker than normal but I knew that before buying. The 4 card pockets are great. The leather is beautiful and seems very durable. Looking forward to getting years of use out of this wallet. He also felt that his wallet would be more secure in his front pocket. However, he's always carried a huge wallet. It just looks silly, and he'd even been teased by his brothers about it. I was going to give him one of your wallets as a gift, but you don't carry the style wallet he had been using. However, when I noticed that his wallet was falling apart, I thought maybe he would make the switch if he picked something out himself. So we looked at the site together, and this is the wallet he picked. He has told me several times that he *loves* this wallet. It is dramatically thinner than what he had been carrying. He didn't realize how big the old wallet was until he replaced it with this one!

Leather Hybrid Bi-Fold Walletstar rating 5Trevor Jason Brandt-SarifFebruary 11, 2011I finally replaced my old wallet with this new one--my old wallet was inconvenient to use (too narrow, bills wouldn't fit in it comfortably), so I did my research, and found this wallet. I keep my wallet in my front pocket, and hate thick wallets. Well, this is exactly what I wanted. It's clearly very well-constructed, and it's seriously thin. In my old wallet, I only kept my ID and debit card--this wallet is just as thin as it was, and I now keep in it 5 more plastic cards, two paper cards, and extra bills. The rubber lining effectively keeps the cards in place, and I don't find it difficult to take them out. I generally like having two separate bill compartments, but I find that the plastic key-holder/divider works just fine. The only thing I miss, a bit, from my old wallet was an outside pocket, in which I could keep either a parking-lot ticket or a single (easy to give to a homeless person without fishing through your other bills), but that wouldn't fit in with the style of the wallet, so I don't fault it in that sense. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase, and highly recommend it!

I wasn't sure if they remembered to actually pack the wallet in the envelope, as it appeared to be empty, but in actual fact, it contained a truly skinny wallet. It appears to be really good quality, and like other customers, we found it it to still be more skinny after filling, than his old wallet was upon being emptied. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the brand name stamped on the front. I would prefer it if it were inside the wallet in a more discrete location. This is a minor issue, as it functions so well.
